Then with the book, I remember having to constantly remind myself that it was a work of fiction and when I finished it, I was profoundly touched and a bit disturbed by what I had read because a part of me knows that that is a very realistic account of how it would all go down. The next morning, the Lanes creep through the mostly abandoned tenement trying to find the roof but the undead detect them and they are chased to the roof. The zombies, while slow and lacking even basic intelligence, are nearly invincible, since no modern weapon kills them effectively. As I understand it, even the slightest edits, no matter how small, negate the use of that title. He believes that zombies allow people to deal with their own anxiety about the end of the world. Doing something in reverse bit me in the butt this time. The quality of Brooks's book was totally unexpected. In July 2009, Brooks revealed that the script was being re-written by. It contains the entirety of the original, abridged audiobook, as well as new recordings of each missing segment. The overall tone I get from this book is 'smug.
